Energized morning

I had a busy day yesterday and thought I would get a good night’s sleep.  However, I woke at 440am and couldn’t go back to sleep.  I did some Internet shopping and paid the house bills all by 7 am. I was up for Lily and Hugh to see them off to school.  I worked in my office this morning and went through some heavy piles of mail.  I was told I could only lift 5-10 pounds, so I did a couple hundred curls with five pound weights.  I did my most significant stretching for about half an hour.  Doesn’t seem like much, but it felt good.  I haven’t taken any Tylenol since dinner on Monday and my pain level remains low.

This has probably been my best day to date, despite the nagging muscle aches.  Despite the lack of sleep, I feel very energized today.  I will be excited for the kids to come home today.  I am usually napping when they get home, don’t think that wil happen today.  Ella is home with a scratchy throat and we have quarantined ourselves from each other.  Going to keep moving today; hope it lasts.

  1. That’s great!! So glad to hear you are feeling better! You will be back to your old self (ooops) I mean “young” self again soon!! We all enjoyed your lunch that you and your office provided for us last week. Thank you! I hope that you will be able to join us for our Holiday Party on January 14th. All you will need to do is sit there.
We all miss you here at the surgery center! Talk to you soon!

  2. Michael –
Great to hear about your progress. Curls?! Impressive. Not that it would matter if I suggested that you “don’t overdo it,” because we all know you will DO and even surprise us all while you’re at it. Keep on!!! You’re making it happen.
The kids were bugging me tonight to retell the “stories from my [our] childhood.” They love most to hear about the escapades of my brothers. Interesting how most of the stories involve you as ring leader — leading us littler ones into all sorts of mischief. Or you as daredevil. The one that really cracks Wyatt up is when you climbed on top of the neighbors garage at age 1. ‘Course, I wasn’t even born yet, but Grandma told him that story and he wants to hear it again and again. He’s your godson. Go figure. Hope he doesn’t get any ideas.
Hope tomorrow is a good day for you. I so wish I could swing by for a visit.
    xo, Katie
