Morning after.

Glad it over. Feel horrible with the pain. Can hardly move. Night was very long. Very little sleep. Hopefully leaving ICU today. Waiting for an ice chip ASAP. So dry. More later

    • Mornin sunshine… Welcome back to the land of the heart-beating. While you were out, Herman Cain dropped out of the race, Trump considering rejoining, Browns still suck. You’re now up to date. Can you freeze Christmas ale into ice chips? That would be a good experiment…

  1. Good to hear your on the web! It’s nice to read the posts and how your doing. Hope to talk/see you soon!

  2. Congratulations amd glad to hear all is well. Get some ice and in a few weeks we will add some alcohol to that ice!

  3. I am so glad things went well. I have been thinking of all of you and praying everything goes as planned. Best of luck in ICU today.

  4. Mike, Dolf told me about this site earlier today so here’s a post. Alan called me last night about 7:30 to let me know you were out of surgery and doing well. I’m very happy to hear that. As I told you, he’s the absolute best guy for the job, bar none and you are in great hands. I’ll try to look you up at Learner once you get out of ICU and into a room on the 3rd floor. The best thing for recovery from heart surgery is a couple extra strokes a side (just ask Alan, he’s a 6). I’ll be happy to kick in those extra strokes during our next round. Get well.

  5. Glad you are doing well. Hope the hospital has the nfl network so thursday you can watch the steelers spank the browns. Hang in there.

  6. Michael! So glad to see that you’re posting already. I can’t believe it. Amazing. YOU are amazing!!!! So sorry for pain, but every hour, every day, it’s gonna get better. You can get through this. We’re cheering you on all the way from snowy Marfa. Yes, it’s actually snowing down here. Fiona tried collecting some in a tupperware container on our drive back from Dallas. Well, you can guess what happened. So I can’t tell if she’s an optimist or just needs a lot more schooling. We’ll work on it. Hope the ice chips come soon. You’ve just run 6 marathons back to back, no wonder you’re thirsty! xoxo, Katie

  7. Michael—so nice to see your posting!!! we are thinking about you and sending much love your way as we pray for a speedy recovery for you–hang in there!
