Midday update

Just did three laps around the unit. Felt pretty good to walk. Blueberry pancakes were terrible. Going for grilled cheese/tomato soup for lunch. Ready to show off my scar, it’s a biggie! Still can’t believe I was walking and running and rollercoastering, etc. this summer.

  1. Mike,

Wow, so happy to hear you were up doing laps. Just wanted you to know that the St. Dominic Thursday morning Rosary prayer group (Deb Venzor, Maureene Gibson, Renee Yoder, Marian Stevens, Laurie Fine, Irene Reynolds, and myself) prayed for you Kathy and the children last Thursday. Please know that we will continue for as long as you need. So happy I can get updates without bothering any of you.
As always, may God continue to bless you,
    JoAnne

  2. Glad to hear everything is going as planned. I knew you’d be fine! P.S….Crosswords aren’t the same 😉

  3. Hi, Mike,
We are so glad to hear how well you are doing! We are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Continue to get well each day,
    Rick and Dianne

  4. Mike, this is truly a miracle. Anton and I were just talking about how you live your life and the fact that it’s not like you just take it easy, with roller coasting, running, building crazy impressive tree houses, and golfing, all part of your routine. Oh and raising three amazing kids, adoring your beautiful wife, and performing surgery on people’s eyes on a daily basis are in there too. Seriously, this one really is a miracle. And man, we are grateful!! You are dearly loved and we’re so glad you are up and about. You know you are improving when you can critique the food. Hope the grilled cheese was better than the pancakes. 🙂 Peace and love, Erin

  5. Erin’s right – this is a miracle. And nothing’s gonna stop you now. There are many more roller coasters to ride, tree houses to build and hole-in-ones to call your own. Keep on! And know that we are with you all the way. Love you, love you! xo, Katie

btw, I make killer blueberry pancakes (just ask Wyatt). Wish I could be there to flip a few your way….
