Final Night

Getting ready for another restful (ha ha) night in the hospital. If all goes well tonight and with a few morning tests and paperwork, I should be outta here by mid afternoon. Thanks to everyone for getting me through week one, but the blogs will continue. There is certainly a lot more work to do. The kids are very excited to see me, as am I. Goodnight and love to you all.

  1. Good night, Mike. We’re thinking about you. I showed the kids the photo of your scar. Your godson, Wyatt — fascinated. Fiona Mae — not so much. Hope tomorrow goes smoothly. Good luck and take it in little bites. We’ll be out of range most of the weekend. Going up into the Davis Mountains tomorrow to get a Christmas tree and then spending the weekend down at Calamity Creek. After all of our fires last summer, I can’t imagine there are any trees left. We’ll see. Gosh, makes me think that maybe we should go the route you did. Your tree was up in a flash… and twinkling no less! Ours will take all day. I’ll send pictures.

  2. Well todays the day. You are going to feel so much better in you own home – especially in that new chair! Hope your ride home is smooth – avoid the potholes. I’m glad my drive to visit you just got shorter too. We are minutes away if you need anything.

  3. Wow – What a week! It’s amazing to think what you’ve gone through in such a short amount of time – what the human body can do. You are so strong – I’m so inspired by your positive attitude. Going through such a life-changing event is so unbelievably stressful. You and Kathy are such wonderful role models for your children. Life will inevitably have ups and downs, but they see the impact a strong family & supportive friends can make, and that will help shape their choices.
We will continue to pray for your health & a recovery that gets easier each day, hang in there, it sounds like you are making amazing progress – truly amazing! Wishing you a very blessed brand New Year and many more healthy, happy years to follow.
Sheila, Eric, Kyle and Megan Hutchinson
